This online session supports service providers working with newcomers to better understand tenant rights within Ontario’s housing system. Participants will learn about key legal protections, common issues experienced by tenants, and available resources for assistance. The session will also introduce the basics of law reform—how policies change and how service providers and communities can contribute to advocacy efforts to address systemic housing barriers impacting newcomers.

This session is organized by the Toronto South West Local Immigration Partnership with support from Don Valley Community Legal Services and Kensington Bellwoods Community Legal Services.
