Tenants Rights Workshop with Eastview
Join the Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre and Don Valley Community Legal Services for a free workshop on tenant rights on Monday, June 1st at 12:30 PM.
This session will cover some of the most common housing issues tenants face, including:
• Rent increases and what landlords are legally allowed to charge
• Eviction notices and what happens after you receive one
• Repairs, maintenance problems, and when to contact the City
• Illegal fees and deposits
• Where to find legal and community support resources; and
• Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
Whether you are dealing with repairs, worried about an eviction, or just want to better understand your rights as a tenant, this workshop is designed to provide practical information in clear language.
