Income Supports

For Legal Advice Call 416-441-1764 ext. 1

We provide information, advice and assistance about:

  • OW (Ontario Works)
  • ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program)
  • CPP (Canada Pension Plan)
  • OAS (Old Age Security)

We do not assist with filling out applications or forms.

Ontario Works (OW), which is often still called welfare, is administered by the City of Toronto. The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) is a provincial program that is administered by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. You can find information about both programs on the Ministry website, including office locations.

Where appropriate, DVCLS can represent clients at the Social Benefits Tribunal (SBT).

Much of our work involves appealing the denial of applications to the Social Benefits Tribunal. We can assist you by identifying medical information that may help your case and requesting it from doctors and specialists.
