Toronto Takes Action: Developing the Renovictions Bylaw

To mark the occasion of National Housing week, the City of Toronto’s Housing Secretariat is bringing together an expert panel to discuss the development and use of the Renovictions bylaw as a municipal policy and legal mechanism to address bad-faith evictions; as well as how recent changes proposed by the Province through Bill 60 will impact the bylaw and renters. DVCLS is pleased to be participating in this event.

Ted Van Vliet is Project Director for Toronto Building and led the development of the Rental Renovation Licence By-Law in the City of Toronto.

Dr. Nemoy Lewis is a Assistant Professor at the Toronto Metropolitan University in the School of Urban and Regional Planning.

Lee Webb is the Director of Client Services at the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights (CCHR).

Laura Anonen is a Community Development Worker at Don Valley Community Legal Services.
