Tareekh Pe Tareekh – “Know Your Employment Law Rights” Public Legal Education Campaign
The South Asian Legal Clinic of Ontario (SALCO) and the Toronto East Employment and Immigration Law Services (TEEILS) have been working to create the “Tareekh Pe Tareekh – Know Your Employment Law Rights” Public Legal Education Campaign. The campaign will be launched on social media on September 6, 2022. We will be posting a series of short educational videos in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali and Tamil on basic employment law rights in Ontario. The goal is to spread basic awareness and start conversations amongst members of our communities that predominately or primarily speak these languages, and create more access to legal information through this. We created specific Twitter (@tareekpetareek) and Tik Tok (@tareekhpetareekh1) accounts where we will be posting these videos. They will also be retweeted and shared from SALCO’s social media accounts – Twitter @SALCOntario and Instagram @SALCOntario.
